The end of the road for Gift David Okpara known as 2 Baba may be closer than expected with the arrest of some of key members of his gang, and now his herbalist.
The 33-year-old herbalist who prepares charms for 2 Baba the most wanted cult leader, has been nabbed by operatives of the Rivers State Police Command.
According to sources close to the Police Command, the herbalist claimed he is from Sii Community in Khana Local Government Area of Ogoniland.
He was arrested on Wednesday, September 27, at Odereimini road, Ahoada East.
He claims to be the Chief Priest of Esien Deity (an Ancient Deity).
Although he is an Ogoni by ethnic nationality, he has lived in Ahoada for a very long time.
The arrest was made possible through the confessions of some 2 Baba’s gang members.
One of the arrested suspects gave a clear description of the native doctor before he was arrested.
Recall that 2Baba and his criminal team were declared wanted after the murder of DPO of Ahoada East Divisional Police Station, SP Bako Angbashim.
Bako Angbashim was killed on September 8, 2023, during a Police operation against members of a notorious cult gang at Odiemude community in Ahoada East local government Area of the state.
The State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, immediately placed a ₦100million bounty on the leader of the gang.
