The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has deployed a total of 2,418 of her personnel to provide a water tight security coverage before, during and after the Easter celebrations in the State.
The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Akinsanya I A, who approved the deployment stated that the enjoyed peace in the State should not be taken for granted.
The NSCDC Boss maintained that the personnel were drafted from the Tactical Squad, the Anti-Vandal Unit, the Agro-Rangers, Counter Terrorism Unit CTU, the Rapid Respond Unit, Operations Dept, the Snipper Combatant(Female Squad) and the Department of Intelligence and Investigation (DII).
The Commandant directed all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Component Commanders and Squadron Leaders to supervise and monitor the deployed officers to operate within the extant laws and discharge their duty with professionalism in line with international best practices.
He urged all Deltans to go about their legitimate business without fear of molestation and reminded them to say something when they see something that their identity will never be disclosed.
Meanwhile, the Commandant used the opportunity to admonish all christians to love one another, just as Christ loved the Church which will engender a Godly society.
