Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have demonstrated that they are unrelenting in their criminality.
This is as they have again abducted two teenage sisters in Guita community, Chikakore in Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This is coming barely after a week after the Chikakore community staged a protest at the Secretariat of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), over the terrible state of the major road linking their community which they described as one of the causes of serial kidnapping in the area.
It was gathered that the kidnappers returned last Sunday around 11:25pm despite the patrol of military men and policemen in the area.
It was learnt that the gunmen numbering six, made away with the girls, who were said to be 16 and 14 years old through the forests and hills in the area.
A resident of the area, who spoke under condition of anonymity, confirmed the incident and said the kidnappers were holding on to the girls and demanding N30 million as ransom.
Efforts to reach the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, for clarification on the matter were futile.
As of the time of filing this report, she did not respond to messages nor pick calls placed to her.
