The new Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Ondo State, Mr Laolu Akindolire has assured the people of the state that the state government shall make meaningful impacts in education and called for supports, cooperation to enable it to implement its programmes and policies successfully.

Akindolire gave the assurance on his first day in office when he met with the Permanent Secretary and other top management staff of the ministry on his first day of assumption of office.

The Commissioner, Mr. Laolu Akindolire, who described his new office as a familiar terrain going by his years of sojourn in the Civil Service, expressed his readiness to work with the staff of the ministry, advocated teamwork, the spirit of brotherliness and unity of purpose among members of staff of the ministry as panaceas for moving the education sector in the state to the next level.

Mr. Akindolire also called on various departments of the ministry to work in harmony with one another for the purpose of implementing successfully the laudable programmes and policies of the state government.

The Permanent Secretary, Mrs Folasade Adegoke while welcoming the Commissioner to his new office, assured him of a seamless cooperation and support of staff of the ministry for the uplift of the education sector in the state.

Adegoke also briefed the new Commissioner on the progress of works at the ministry and expressed confidence in his ability to take the ministry to the next level judging by his striking personality and experience.

Before his appointment, Akindolire, a Chartered Accountant, had served in various ministries and departments in the Civil Service of Ondo State before retiring as Accountant General of the State in April 2021.
