The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Police Command, CP Ari Mohammed Ali,  has assured Deltans and residents in Delta State of a hitch-free Yuletide with regard to security of lives and properties adding that his Command has deployed personnel massively ahead of the festivities.
In a release signed by the  Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Edafe Bright, the CP has directed all Area Commanders, DPOs and Tactical Commanders to deploy personnel to all designated areas for the celebrations and other resort centres to track down mischief makers who make take advantage of the Yuletide to cause mayhem on innocent and law abiding citizens of the State.
According to the Statement:  ” The Police Patrol Teams have been drawn from Dragon Patrol, Safer Highways, Quick Response Squad, Rapid Response Squad, Eagle Net Special Squad”.
As a professional strategist with great experience, the CP has designated some areas within the State that might be vulnerable for likely attacks by hoodlums.
Some of the Areas specified in the Release include: Niger Head Bridge, Asaba Axis, Denis Osadebay Main Gate on Asaba-Ilah Road, Onicha-Ugbo to Idumuje Road (a busy route for passengers from Abuja and other Northern States).
The Statement further pin-pointed other key areas as, Asaba-Agbor Expressway, Eku-Abraka Road, Asaba-Kwale Road, Warri- Benin Expressway and other notable roads within the State.
Other flash Points within the Asaba Metropolis that require adequate surveillance in the release are Summit Junction, Interbau Roundabout, Federal Medical Centre Roundabout, Ibusa Junction, Ogbogonogo Market, Government House Gate, Coker Junction, Ezenei Roundabout and so on.
The CP, however, enjoined all tactical Team Heads to ensure proper supervision of their men in order to achieve expected results.
