Gunmen suspected to be sympathisers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have lost their lives in a bloody encounter with soldiers on patrol duty in Ihiala, Anambra State.
The clash took place yesterday, Monday, February 7, 2022.
The dead bodies of two gunmen riddled with bullets were seen lying close to their operational vehicle which was also shattered with bullets.
Another body of what appeared to be a third gunman was seen in a bullet- shattered van.
“They were gunned down in Ihiala today in a fight with soldiers,” a top source revealed.
Both the vans and the ground where the battle took place were soaked with blood.
The Anambra State Police Command has not commented on the incident at the time of filing this report.
