The remains of an unidentified Pastor abducted, killed, buried in a shallow grave after his family paid huge amount of money as ransom to secure his release from his Kidnappers den, has been exhumed.
The suspects, four in number have taken police operatives of the Rivers State Command to the shallow grave where they had buried the victim after he was kidnapped.
The victim, a pastor in Rivers State, was kidnapped in May 2021 by the suspects and was said to have been killed ten days after he was kidnapped and buried in a shallow grave in Lourre community in Khana local government area of the state.
Speaking to journalists, the spokesman of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni said the “suspects also collected the sum of N5000,000″ from the family of the victim.”
Omoni added that the suspects who have confessed to the crime were arrested through intelligence gathering.
According to one of the suspects, the pastor whom they had hired after pretending to be passengers was killed after he recognized one of them.
