NCS investigates Katsina community shooting

The Nigeria Customs Service, on Saturday, said that it has commenced investigation into Friday’s alleged shooting by its personnel at Fadi Gurje village in the Mani Local Government Area of Katsina State.

A 35-year-old man, Auwal Sani, was allegedly shot in the leg by some Customs personnel who were said to have stormed the village in a patrol vehicle.

The man was rushed to the Orthopaedic Hospital, Katsina for treatment.

The NCS Spokesman in Katsina, Danbaba Isah, said in a terse response to an SMS sent to him, inquiring about the incident that the Service had commenced investigation on it.

“We are investigating the issue,” he stated on Saturday.

Isah, however, did not offer any explanation or details on the investigation.
