Dr Jimoh, Ibrahim Folorunsho, a business mogul, has expressed happiness over his successful completion of a new degree in Mega Project from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
In an exclusive chat with nigeriamaritime360.com, Dr. Ibrahim said the feat would be useful to the entire world in completion of abandoned projects.
“It is going to help the country, it will help the world. I have got Doctor of Business in mega projects. We are talking about abandoned projects completion.
“If I take it to the UN, it will help the world, if I stay in Nigeria, it will help the country and if I stay in my house, it will help everybody.”
Speaking on the course of study, Dr. Ibrahim, who is the People’s Democratic Party, PDP Ondo Central Senatorial District candidate, disclosed that the course was an uncommon one even as he described himself as uncommon person having had nine degrees in his kitty before the completion of the recent one.
“This is the first time it is happening in the University of Cambridge after 800 years. So, it cannot be compared.
“It is not common and the person getting the degree is not common because before I got this, I already had nine degrees.
Describing his feeling as excellent, he added that his performance too was “very good and we came out good”.
Also felicitating with him, the Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu said, “Let me use this opportunity to thank the University of Cambridge for the introduction of such program. I congratulate them.
“I want to congratulate you. You see that when you are in a position, you will be recognised.
“We will go home and rejoice that God gave you opportunity to improve on your knowledge on Mega Project and Abandoned one; that you are given opportunity also to improve on those skills you gathered which is called experience. That is the purpose.
“No doubt, Jimoh has vast experiences in managing businesses like NICON insurance, Hilton and many others but I think this will make the skills better having come here to learn more”.
Dr. Jimoh, Ibrahim Folorunsho is the first African to bag such degree.
Gov Rotimi Akeredolu, HE ‘Tunji Isola, Ambassador of Nigeria to the UK, DIG David Folawiyo(retd.), among others graced the occasion.
