The Ijaw People’s Development Initiative, IPDI has watered down speculations alleging foremost Niger Delta warlord, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo of invading Itsekiri some communities in Delta State.
The Movement For the Protection of the IWERE Homeland, Development and history, (MPIHDH) had particularly accused the freedom fighter of invading Ugborodo community with arms and announced it’s readiness to go into war with Tompolo.
In a statement signed by Comrade Austin Ozobo, President of IPDI, the group described the report as shocking and ‘a mischief’ against the Gbaramatu-born warlord.
IPDI further called on leaders of Iwere land to call the MPIHDH to order to avert any unnecessary animosity between Ijaws and Itsekiris.
