Unknown gunmen have murdered a former chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Oshimili South Local government Council, Delta State.
The ugly incident took place on Monday when the chairman who is fondly known as Sachimo, was to take his children to school. The hoodlums appeared from nowhere and gunned him down.
SECURITYREPORTERS.com gathered that he was shot in the head at a close range in the presence of his wife.
It was further gathered that stray bullets touched the wife in the process but she survived.
In another development, boys suspected to be cultists have murdered another unidentified young man behind the Umuagu health Centre, opposite Studio 24, along Nnebisi Road Asaba.
It was learnt that the deceased was a surveyor, until he met his untimely death.
Meanwhile, a yet to be identified man slumbed opposite Union Bank, Traffic Light Branch, in Asaba.
The Ag. Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Edafe Bright, confirmed the killing of the NULGE Chairman as he said that culprits must be brought to book
