Gunmen on Thursday afternoon attacked the Aguata Local Government Headquarters, where Governor Soludo hails from.
The hoodlums did not only attack the headquarters but also set the place on fire.
A man and native who spoke to our Correspondent but pleaded anonymity said that the inhuman act might have been carried out by the same gang that attacked Eke Market, Elwulobia in same Area.
When contacted, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu said that “following the report of the fire incident at the local government headquarters, the command has deployed men to the area and the situation has been brought under control.”
Ikenga, who is the spokesman of Anambra State Police Command, also said that men of the Fire Service have been contacted and they are already combating the inferno.
