FRSC embarks on joint special enforcement to checkmate motorists with unregistered number plates

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State will today (Monday), embark on a joint special enforcement to impound vehicles and motorcycles plying the roads with unregistered or unauthorised number plates

Mr Ahmed Umar, the Sector Commander, who announced this, said the operation would be carried out in conjunction with sister security agencies like the police, the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps and the Vehicles Inspection Office.

“Pursuant to FRSC primary role in advancing national security through rigorous intelligence, it has been observed that many motorists go about with unauthorised or unregistered vehicles.

“Therefore there will be a joint special enforcement with the police, the Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps and the Vehicles Inspection Office to checkmate erring motorists,’’ he stated.

Umar enjoined motorists and motorcycle operators to always go through appropriate authorities to register their vehicles.
