Four lecturers of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, have been dismissed over alleged gross misconduct.
Their dismissal was based on the consideration of the report of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee (SSDC) on the allegations against the four sacked lecturers.
Those involved are: Barr. Patrick Ikechuckwu Iweoha (Faculty of Law), Engr. Dr Lawrence Imaekhai (Faculty of Engineering & Technology), Engr. Dr Sumaila Jimoh (Faculty of Engineering & Technology), Engr. Haruna Andrew Idoko (Technologist, Faculty of Engineering & Technology).
“Accordingly, the above staff have been dismissed for gross misconduct with effect from Wednesday 1st December 2021,” the report said.
They were dismissed from the service of the University for alleged illegal collections of unauthorised fees, alterations of students results and other gross misconducts.
Confirming the dismissal of the lecturers to nesmen on phone, AAU’s Public Relations Officer/Acting Registrar, Edward Aihevba, said: “Yes, the four lecturers were dismissed for gross misconduct.”
None of the affected lecturers could be reached for a reaction on the allegation.
