Al AbdulFatah Ahmed, the immediate past governor of Kwara state at about 9 a.m. on Monday was being interrogated at the Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), at GRA, Ilorin.
A credible source at the commission disclosed that the financial expert who was the governor of Kwara State between 2011 and 2019 is still at the commission’s office at press time, five hours after he arrived there.
“Yes, the immediate past governor is here; he got here in the morning, and he’s still with us,” said a source who craved anonymity.
Several calls to the phone number of the former governor were not received at press time.
Though reasons for his current invitation are still being awaited at press time, the former governor had been invited by the commission over financial controversy surrounding some projects during his administration.
