Fashion designer defiles neighbour’s 2-year-old daughter

A 30-year-old fashion designer, Idris Adams, who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s two-year-old daughter has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

Adams was on Wednesday arraigned before Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court.

The prosecutor, ASP Raji Akeem told the court that Adam committed the offence on Feb. 26 and that the child was taken to the hospital for medical examination.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Bola Osunsanmi refused to take Adam’s plea.

Osunsanmi adjourned the matter until March 28 for legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
