The Delta State Police Command on Tuesday, took delivery of five operational Hilux patrol vehicles donated by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor.
The five donated vehicles to the Command were part of CDS Irabor’s inter-agency cooperation.
The Brigade Commander 63 Brigade Commander, General Mayeranso David Saraso, who presented the operational vehicles on behalf of the CDS, noted that the gesture was to support and enhance the performance of the Police in securing lives and property across the state.
He also noted the need to assist other security agencies with the required tools to enable them combat criminalities and security challenges.
The Commissioner of Police Delta State, CP Ari Muhammed Ali alongside members of the Command’s management team received the five patrol vehicles.
The CP in his brief speech was filled with joy as he noted, “It was a day of happiness for the Command adding that the gesture exhibited by the CDS is one of a kind, uncommon and quite unbelievable, which will in no small way boost the morale of police personnel in the state’.
Ali assured the CDS that the vehicles will put into good use and it will definitely enhance the fight against crime and criminality across the state.
