Bomb Explosion:Five-Year-Old Boy Narrowly Escapes Death In Delt

The life of a little boy of five on Friday has been divinely saved throwing away a container he mistakingly picked on the ground as a toll in Obiaruku, Delta State.

The incident which took place at Obiaruku, the headquarters of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State, got passers-by running helter-skelter to save their life after the object which the boy threw away, exploded, with the the surrounding caught by thick, dark smoke and pieces of small items emitting drops of flames.

Security Reporters.com gathered that the incident was strange, and terrifying, much as it was a great testimony of the power of God to save life.

According to an Eyewitness, the ugly incident occurred on Friday, at about 2:30pm, by the New Sapele/Agbor Road, close to Express Kitchen, a popular eatery and restaurant.

It was also known from another reliable eye-witness, that the young boy who was returning from a holiday lesson organized by Our Lady’s School located besides the Catholic Church which was in the same premises housing Ezegbuochu Primary School, Obiaruku, when an object which looked like a toy attracted his attention and he picked it up. After a while, shortly after the boy crossed over to the new Sapele/Agbor Road, he noticed that the supposed toy was not actually a toy and that the ugly looking object was hot and was gradually burning his fingers so he simply threw it off to a distance about half of two electric poles, and as the object landed on the ground, it simultaneously exploded – to the shock and alarm of passersby. The incident caused people within the vicinity of the spot of the explosion, to scamper away to safety.

When the mother of the boy was notified of the incident, she came and quickly took the young lad to the police station, to report the incident.

It was learnt that the police quickly rushed to the spot and took the remains of the explosive item away, to assist them in the cause of investigation.
